I am Lindsay Dawes, director of Scruffymonkey Web Design alongside my husband, Chris. I have been attending the Bolton Unique Ladies Group since 2016. My background is in IT, having worked as a Secondary school teacher and Head of Computing, which I did for 14 years.
I left teaching and joined my husband in 2016 and we became a family business. In 2017, Scruffymonkey was shortlisted for Family Business of the Year in the Bolton and Bury Business Awards and I won the Inspire Award for Woman in IT.
Scruffymonkey offer web design services to businesses around Bolton and beyond including a number of international clients, but we have developed a natural niche in web design services for charities and the voluntary sector. We have already worked with some of the larger charities in Bolton such as Backup (formerly BYPHS), Bolton Lads & Girls Club, Zaks Youth Bar, Lagan’s Foundation and The Zak Vali Foundation as well as national charities outside of Bolton such as Caritas Care, Child Action North West, Out There (Supporting Families of Prisoners) and Deafway. Recently, our work with Caritas Care was praised by OFSTED for the impact it had on the charities work and outcomes.
If I can help you or anyone you know with anything ‘web’, give me a call!
