From April 2024, there is a changing of the guard at Unique Ladies Bolton!
The wonderful Suzy Orrsome is handing over the baton so she can concentrate on her next chapter – The Suzy Orr Foundation and other things in Unique Ladies.
When Suzy rang me and told me the news, I was in shock – Suzy has run Bolton for 9 years – its her baby. It was also not part of my plan, so I took a few days to think it through, as I had an overwhelming sense of what does this mean for Stockport, and oh wow, I am stepping into the footsteps of Suzy!
However, one thing I have learned since 2019 and being part of the Unique Ladies community and ethos is, say yes to everything and sort out he detail afterwards and put your big girl pants on.
So my answer was of course yes, because in true Suzy style she new the bigger picture – Stockport would be cover by Lisa Brown – our newest franchisee and she had complete faith and trust in me. I had earned my stripes, she told me.
So here we are.
I am very excited as I have been a Boltonian since I was 16 when my mum and step dad took over a pub in the area. I have also been visiting Bolton Unique Ladies since I started my networking journey in 2019. I have many clients locally in my HR business, support other local charities and volunteer in a local school to support the younger generation with their transition from the education environment to the world of work.
Unique Ladies Bolton meet at Bolton Old Links Golf Club, on the first Friday of the month (subject to change depending on circumstances).
We recognise the importance of building relationships, supporting each other and having fun and no matter where you are on your business journey, Unique Ladies works because we provide the arena to build relationships, we offer Free Membership, our costs are low, the venues are accessible, and we understand, to get business this way, we must follow up each and every conversation and get to know the other ladies in the room and business happens!
Each session runs from 09.30-11.30 (registration from 09.00), includes networking, educational speaker, a business card draw and we end with a truly inspirational lady speaker. The Club offer breakfast and lunch menu, and supply us with refreshments for the meeting.
Our Charity of the Year 2023/24 is Boot Out Breast Cancer – which was set up in 2010 by Debbie Dowie who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. Many women receive diagnosis each year and the team at Boot Out Breast Cancer want to make a difference. You are helping as £1 of every ticket sold to our monthly networking events will go to Boot Out Breast Cancer
We’ve created a great, welcoming community, come along, you will be made very welcome and hopefully love it!
