Suzy Orr

Founder of Unique Ladies, passionate networker, public speaker, and Multi Award Winner, Suzy is a networker through and through. What started as a “hobby” is now a passion. Seeing the difference Unique ladies is making to the women that attend, has encouraged Suzy to create more. With a team of fabulous, motivated local managers it is her mission to enable every woman to “Embrace their Magnificence, and be the best version of themselves”.
Suzy recently embarked on a new journey, navigating Breast Cancer, but in true Suzy Orrsome spirit she is shouting from the rooftops about the importance of routine Mammograms, with an ITV Granada crew following her every move. This resulted in the launch of The SuzyOrrsome Foundation, a charity aiming to support other women in similar situations, and aiming to purchase much needed equipment for Chorley & South Ribble Hospital.
She was also the first Business Ambassador for The Endeavour Project, another charity which remains close to her heart.
More recently Suzy has partnered with TV & Smooth Radio star Jenni Falconer, as an Ambassador for Kollo Collagen. Suzy is available to speak at events, covering topics such as “Life after Corporate”, “Networking and Female Empowerment” and her “Breast cancer journey”.

Collette Butterworth

A Unique Lady at her very core!  Collette has never been a fan of the usual run of the mill networking events and fell in love with the Unique Ladies group when she first discovered them in 2022, having moved to Lancashire from Cumbria.  She first attended Ribble Valley and loved the vibe of the meetings and the business that passed between the women attending.  Collette then dipped her toe into the Chorley and South Lakes meetings and has loved every single meeting she has been to, as well as, met new clients and suppliers for her business.

Collette is Co-Founder of Rothwell Enterprises, a premium white-label business based in Blackpool.  Rothwell Enterprises Limited specialises in offering service providers in the wellbeing space, the opportunity to create product ranges that add a new revenue stream to their existing business, through selling award-winning, plant-based, natural and handmade personal care and home fragrance ranges with their own branding and logo.  They also create consumer brands of their own, including the recently launched Scentric Fragrances, offering luxury products at affordable prices.

An experienced Managing Director and business leader, Collette knows just how hard it can be to build a business and just how valuable great networking is as an asset to your growth strategy and also a support structure and safe place to discuss your challenges and celebrate your wins.

Catherine Grindrod-Dean

I’m Catherine, a nutrition and lifestyle coach and writer, and I’m passionate about helping women grow in both their personal and professional lives. After spending 8 years living and working in France and building a career in the travel industry, I made the leap into self-employment. I understand how difficult it can be working alone, especially when you don’t have a team around you or the structure of a traditional job to rely on.

Along the way, I’ve also had the chance to manage a team, which helped me develop leadership skills that really shape my coaching approach today. I’ve learned how important it is to create spaces where people feel heard, supported, and empowered to be their best selves, which is why running Unique Ladies in the South Lakes really appeals to me.

Now living in the beautiful Lake District, I’m excited to combine my background in team management and my love for personal development to help women find more confidence, clarity, and connection. Through coaching and writing and, now, managing this phenomenal group, networking, I want to create environments where women in business can grow, share, and reach their full potential, without feeling like they’re doing it all alone.

Nicola Sheard

My background has predominantly been in Sales and Customer service roles since graduating from University with a Business degree in French and Spanish. My love for foreign languages gave me a fulfilling career until I decided to have a complete change and go self employed in 2015.

I started working as an independent Sales Ambassador for Tropic Skincare and can honestly say I have never looked back.  Tropic is an award winning 100% natural skincare company which is cruelty free, vegan and based in the UK. Leaving full time employment and a secure job with a very good package was an enormous step, but it has turned out to be the best decision!  I absolutely love my work, the products and the people I meet on a daily basis.

I am a proud Mum of two and married to Jason and now have complete flexibility in my work which has helped enormously to restore my work/life balance. I attended a few Unique Ladies meetings and immediately felt so welcome and inspired and decided I wanted to be a permanent part of it.

I am delighted to bring Unique Ladies to the Ribble Valley.
