Introducing our Unique Lady of the Month for May:
Denise Lewis-Unsworth – COSTCO – Haydock
Denise started working at Costco-Haydock in 2003. After working in recruitment for BT she decided on a career change as she found BT very target driven.
“I shopped at Costco, so I decided to give it a try for 3 months !!”
First starting in the Vault (counting all the money) for 3 years and then moving over to the trade coordinator/membership dept, she then moved again onto her current role as marketing/events coordinator.
“A role I have done for the last 12 years, as part of a team of 17 women, I work mainly with the marketing manager to arrange new business either by networking/events or arranging for the team to visit businesses (i.e. call centres, banking and finance, hospitals) anywhere there is a large number of staff who qualify for membership to the store. The job can also mean that at busy times of the year we are called on to help other departments; be that the tills, the door or even the bakery ! I can’t promise to give Costco the next 19 yrs but I might give them the next 3!!”

What’s your favourite…
…holiday destination? It has to be America, which as a family we have been to several times, not always the usual Orlando trip (although we do love the whole Disney experience), but we love Texas which has to be one of the best places ever, cruising has to be our other favourite holiday choice with another one booked for September on P&O Iona-to the Norwegian Fjords
…food? Italian, although you can’t beat a good English Afternoon Tea!
…music? Soul, Motown, with a good bit of 70s disco thrown in
